Remember, if caught early enough, bowel cancer can be cured.

Some people feel embarrassed about discussing bowel problems with their doctor. By the time the patient seeks medical advice because he or she cannot cope any longer with his or her symptoms,it can sometimes be too late. Be sensible.

Cancer Drugs Campaign

date 28/07/2011

Bowel Cancer Wales has launched a Campaign along with Mr Sean Knight ( a patients representative) for life extending Cancer Drugs eg Avastin (Bevacuzimab) and Erbitux  (Cetuximab) to made more widely available in Wales.

The current Independent Patient Funding Request (IFPR) system is denying patients access to these drugs mainly because of cost effectiveness and not clinical needs which we believe is wrong.

We are calling on other Patients and theyre families denied Cancer drugs in Wales and also other Charities and Politicians to join our campaign.

It would cost approximately £12 million annualy to fund which is available in England at a cost of £200 million.

To join the campaign please contact bowelcancerwales@aol.com or Mr Sean Knight on 07967808674.
